I cannot describe how pleased I am to have Simon as my PT!
We started training at the beginning of the year, and having had other PTs in the past, they are incomparable. Simon is friendly, professional and gets results – something I can vouch for. I received a flexible training programme with a lot of variety each week, nutrition and meal planning support including macros which was all very competitively priced. Reminders outside of the gym about self-directed exercises and nutrition have been incredibly useful and even helped me to lose 0.5kg on a weeks all-inclusive holiday! Motivation at the gym is something I have struggled with, and Simon has changed this for me.
As a person, Simon is so passionate about what he does and is very committed; it really does help him to work with his clients, improve their motivation and to get them their results. He always makes sure I am satisfied with the sessions I am receiving, pushing me to my limits at each session – I have surprised myself in what I have achieved by this. Simon is well qualified, extremely knowledgeable and is always open to answering questions. The postural analysis was also beneficial in highlighting weaker muscle groups to work on which my professional job takes a toll on.
The first meeting concentrated on Simon fully understanding my self-perception and expectations, for him to be able to tailor a programme to meet my needs, with realistic and achievable goals. Everyone has body worries big or small, and I instantly felt like I could be open and honest about mine, which I hadn’t told anyone else before. He makes effort in regularly assessing my goals, to adapt the programme to my needs as and when.
I started off as someone who hated going to the gym, and was very much working out because I didn’t like my body but now that is changing into working out because I do. With Simon’s help, not only have I improved my physical fitness but I have improved my mind set too. I am at a stage where I have seen change, which is just what Simon wanted to get me to so I can start to feel motivated about going to the gym. Our success was demonstrated by my first 6 week progress pictures, by hitting new personal bests at every session, nutritional support into a sustainable calorie deficit, increasing water intake, increasing daily step count, 3 PT sessions per week with additional cardio (work permitting). I even increased my incline leg press by 60kg in 6 weeks, doubling my bodyweight. I now say to Simon ‘remember when I couldn’t do xyz’ rather than ‘I don’t think I can do it’ which was a regular occurrence for me. I am stronger and healthier than I have ever been before, and in such a short space of time too.
Since starting training with Simon, my confidence has increased and I am feeling comfortable in my own body, with improved eating habits and energy levels. These are now integrating in my life as lifestyle changes and I am looking forward to making further progress. You really are the best, thank you Simon!
