Recently I have been doing a lot more fell / trail running, nothing serious just enough to work up a real sweat.

The idea is pretty basic… See a big hill and try and get up it as quickly as possible. It’s always enough to kill me off and I feel that it’s good for the soul especially when you get to the top and take in the views.

It’s a great contrast to running on flat runs which I find incredibly long winded, nothing better than choosing your own route up the biggest incline and descent coming across bog, rocks and grass – all at speed, a proper buzz.
